The start of the 2025 academic year: A new campus and 1st-year students

ESTACA has been based at ENSAM in Talence since 2022, and will move to its own campus in the new Belvédère district at the start of the 2025 academic year. ESTACA will welcome its first class of 1st year students and will offer a 5-year curriculum from 2026.

ESTACA will be moving into a brand-new 5,800 m2 building in the new Belvédère district of Bordeaux Euratlantique.

Located a 10-minute walk from the Bordeaux Saint Jean TGV station, this 'Ecoquartier' zone guarantees a sustainable, supportive living environment with numerous green spaces and sports facilities, while being close to Bordeaux's historic center (Place de la Bourse 2 km away).

In addition to its proximity to the TGV train station, an express bus line passes right by the school, taking passengers to the Talence university campus.

The eco-designed ESTACA building will feature 7 floors, a slab terrace and two roof-top spaces. It is currently under construction and will be delivered in summer 2025. An experimental innovation and digital teaching room will be available for training future engineers in low-carbon transport. It will welcome over 300 students at the start of the 2025 academic year, including around 135 new 1st-year students, 80 new 3rd-year students and 85 4th and 5th-year students (currently training on ENSAM premises).

Ultimately, the school aims to welcome 650 students with a permanent staff of 25. A recruitment plan for teaching and research staff is planned over the next five years to complete the current team.

These training courses are increasingly focused on aeronautics, and will eventually be extended to all transport sectors.

With this new site, ESTACA has moved closer to a rich industrial fabric by setting up in a strategic location at the heart of France's 3rd largest aerospace employment zone.

The School has therefore given priority to developing its training in the aeronautical field. Starting in September 2024, it will offer new courses to 5th year students. A new specialization, "Innovation and Decarbonization of the Aeronautical Sector", will train engineers ready to contribute to the deployment of concrete, innovative solutions to achieve carbon neutrality and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the future.

From the start of the 2025 academic year, when it moves to its own campus, the School will expand its range of training courses and gradually introduce its different programs, with priority given to the deployment of the automotive and space sectors.
