Continuing education: Introduction to AI

Today, Artificial Intelligence is increasingly present in all 5 ESTACA courses. As part of our ongoing training courses in Artificial Intelligence, it has become clear that a course in handling AI with robots is extremely relevant.

A new one-day AI training course is being offered, with the aim of providing a good introduction to what Artificial Intelligence is, i.e. :

• Present the fundamental concepts of Training a Machine Learning Model with labeled data, and then putting it into operation
• Demystify AI through an overview of learning algorithms, including real-time visualization of learning from a small Deep Learning neural network.
• Experiment with a concrete application, that of autonomous driving, via participants' handling of "AlphAI" learning robots and their training for a robot race.
• Understand the mechanisms of generative AI and large language models (LLM), and experiment with them on a concrete case.
• Acquire a forward-looking vision of AI, and in particular AI applied to the field of mobility.

A 1h30 AI workshop (from one of the modules in the 1-day format) is also proposed in the form of a concrete experiment, that of autonomous driving, via the handling by participants of learning robots and their training for the realization of a robot race.
