Message from ACE: We need you!
The 2023-2024 term of office is returning to the association's technical projects, with the aim of completing the two ongoing projects - the Savannah and the Airbus Cockpit System (ACS) - by the end of the school year. We're asking for your help because we've just launched the 2023-2024 sponsorship campaign, and we need your help.
Briefly, the Airbus Cockpit System project involves building a functional replica of an Airbus A320 cockpit, on a 1:1 scale, for use as a simulator. It is to be dismantled for use at airshows and JPOs. The aim is for the students to build the entire simulator themselves, from the structure to the throttle, including the hundred or so different 3D-printed buttons, with each panel laser-cut and engraved.
Today, the structure is complete, but we still have a number of expenses to make, notably for electronics (graphics card, large HD screens, loudspeaker, etc.) and instruments (joystick bases, rudder pedals, panels, etc.). We estimate that these two areas will require a total of €9,550 this year.
As for the Savannah project, it involves building a kit microlight. Launched in 2019, in partnership with the Camille Georges Jousse flying club and AFMAé (CFA des métiers de l'aérien) at the Toussus-le-Noble airfield, the project involves assembling the least advanced kit formula possible, in terms of assembly, to maximize the educational input.
The project is now in its final phase: the airframe, wing, landing gear and instruments have already been assembled. The savannah looks like an aircraft (almost) ready to fly. The carburetor circuit has been installed and the engine has already made its first successful test run.
In this final stretch, we're looking for €2,000 to finance the painting of the aircraft and the final adjustments.
We're looking to you for 2 reasons: as an engineer in a company and as an individual. Indeed, the endowment fund allows tax deductions ranging from 60 to 66% for companies (corporate tax: IS) AND for individuals (income tax: IR). As the 2023 fiscal year draws to a close, if you would like to support our projects personally or through your company, please find below the link to the fundraising campaign if you would like to make a donation. You'll also find attached two documents presenting the ACS project, which is the focus of most of our needs this year.
You can support our project by making a donation by cheque (payable to the ESTACA Endowment Fund), by credit card (via the AssoConnect link below) or by bank transfer.

Any contribution will help us achieve the ambitious but achievable goal of completing the cockpit by the end of the school year. We will be extremely grateful for every gesture
