Les mercredis de la transition" lecture series

September 2023 marks the start of an exciting new chapter in which our school's curriculum is structured around three key departments. The first, Sciences Pour l'INgénieur (SPIN), aims to equip our students with the scientific, technical and fundamental skills essential to their training as engineers. The second department, Ingénierie des moBIlitéS (IBIS), focuses on the skills specific to each transport sector.

Finally, we are pleased to announce a new department, IDEAL, dedicated to Sustainable and Responsible Engineering. This department's mission is to develop scientific, technical and fundamental skills related to environmental, energy, societal, industrial and digital transitions. At the same time, it reinforces the soft skills and professional experience needed to meet these challenges.

The aim of these departments is to strike the right balance in terms of training, and to offer a progression of skills enhancement that respects a coherent pedagogical alignment.

The IDEAL department will focus on deepening training by strengthening the skills of future engineers in reducing the environmental footprint of transport, while remaining true to the DNA of ESTACA (a school specializing in transport and sustainable mobility).

At the end of their training, we aim for each engineer to be able to:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the changes underway,
  • Identify and integrate issues linked to socio-environmental transitions into their career plans,
  • Propose solutions, scenarios and levers for action, taking into account ethical considerations,
  • Provide the keys needed to build tomorrow's world in a professional way.

New courses and conferences led by experts will be offered to students for the year 2023-2024. Our aim is to put in place a pedagogy aligned with these values, thus guaranteeing the successful transformation of our school (details below).

Transition Wednesdays: Cycle of Conferences for a Sustainable and Responsible Future

As alumni, we're delighted to invite you to take part in our lecture series.

An event will be created for each conference on the Alumni website, where you can register directly.

Yours sincerely
