Appointments - New responsibilities for Guillaume Cartier

Guillaume Cartier, President of Nissan's AMIEO region, will integrate the new Performance Department into his scope of duties as of December 1, 2024.

Chairman of Nissan's AMIEO Region Management Committee, Guillaume Cartier will combine his duties with the brand's new Performance Department. In this role, he will oversee the following regions: Japan, ASEAN (Australia, Philippines and Thailand), AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India and Oceania), the Americas, as well as worldwide sales and after-sales. In his new role, Guillaume Cartier will continue to report to Makoto Uchida, Nissan's Managing Director.

Guillaume Cartier graduated from Estaca in 1992 with a degree in Aero. In 1995, he joined Nissan France, where he held various positions, including Sales Director (2001) and Commercial Operations Director (2005). In 2006, he joined Nissan Europe as Marketing Manager, in charge of the city car and sports car ranges. In 2008, he was appointed head of Nissan's marketing department in the United Kingdom. In 2010, he became Managing Director of Nissan Nordic Europe (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania). In 2011, he was vice-president in charge of sales operations for Nissan Europe. In 2013, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Nissan Europe. In 2017, he became Corporate Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. In 2019, he returned to Nissan's headquarters in Japan as Senior Vice President and member of the Management Committee for the AMI region (Africa, Middle East and India), and also Global Director of the Datsun business unit. In April 2020, he was appointed Vice-Chairman of Nissan's AMIEO region (Africa, Middle East, Europe, Oceania). Since 2020, Guillaume Cartier has been President of Nissan's AMIEO region.
