Virtual wings in aid of Aviation sans Frontières
Les Ailes virtuelles is a charity virtual airshow organized on May 4 by the "Falcon Furious" virtual patrol, in support of Aviation sans Frontières.
Comprising members from universities and schools such as ESTACA and other industry professionals, this virtual squadron embodies the union between a passion for flying and a desire to make a difference in the real world. Romain and Pierre, 4th-year engineering students at ESTACA Bordeaux, are members.
Part of the Flight Simulator 2020 universe, this team of passionate pilots dedicates their passion and skills for flight to charitable initiatives, while pushing the boundaries of flight simulation.
Fans and simulation enthusiasts were able to follow the exploits of the "Falcon Furious" patrol on their Twitch channel ( https://www.twitch.tv/falcon_furious) and their official website(https://www.falconfuriousteam.com).
On the program, visitors enjoyed a series of aerial demonstrations, video-reports, animations interspersed with interviews with Aviation sans Frontières members and volunteers, as well as guests such as a former Concorde captain and former Patrouille de France pilot.
As part of their commitment, the Falcon Furious raised 2,075 euros for the association.
This event virtually brought together renowned air patrols from different countries, such as the Swiss PC21 patrol, the American Thunderbirds and the Italian Frecce Tricolori.
