The grand final of the ESTACA Centenary Challenge on the theme "Imagine the transport of the future" will be held on April 10, before a jury made up of industrial representatives (Safran, Dassault and Akkodis), academic representatives, alumni and a representative of the ESTACA Management Board.
All students and alumni are invited to attend the final, which will begin with a presentation of the nominated projects. This exchange, open to all, will take place in the auditorium of the Paris-Saclay campus, with retransmission to Laval and Bordeaux.

- 2pm: Pitch of the six projects before a jury made up of industrialists and alumni: Christian Lucius, class of '87, will represent Dassault, Pascal Castoriadis, class of '93, will represent Safran, and Hélène Resseguier, class of '89, will represent the alumni.
- 5pm: Award ceremony for the three winners
- 5:30pm: Cocktails and discussions with all challenge participants and jury members
Six teams have been selected to take part in the final:
- Bluesmart Robotics, an electric robot designed to assist gliders.
- Simultaneous localization and mapping for a swarm of drones, a promising advance in collaborative robotics.
- Motor control and network communication for an electric vehicle, a project dedicated to optimizing the performance of the vehicles of the future.
- Black Gold Sailor, a robot designed to combat oil spills and clean up harbors.
- CHAPAS project management and online test coordination, an innovative approach to project management and experimental validation.
- Assembly and testing of a CubeSat-Terrarium for stratospheric balloon flight, a bold initiative combining space and life sciences.
Each project will be presented in the form of a 10-minute pitch, followed by a 10-minute question-and-answer session with the jury. The jury will then deliberate and award prizes to the 3 most outstanding projects, with awards presented by our three industrial partners, Akkodis, Safran and Dassault.
From 5:30 p.m. onwards, a cocktail party will bring the day to a close, during which all the projects will be showcased in the form of poster presentations, giving everyone the opportunity to present and exchange ideas with the guests and industrialists present.
Projects awarded the "ESTACA Centenary" label
As part of ESTACA's 100th anniversary celebrations, the school launched a competition among its 3rd and 4th year students on the theme "Imagine the transport of the future". An internal jury met on March 11 and selected the six finalist teams who will take part in the final in front of a jury made up of industrial representatives.
Some thirty 3rd and 4th year projects, integrated into the curriculum, were awarded the "ESTACA Centenary" label and submitted in October by students in the five transport streams.
Students had four months to work in teams of 3 to 5, on projects that responded to the theme "Imagining the Transport of the Future". The aim was to propose innovative approaches to a range of topics, including decarbonized, intelligent, connected or autonomous transport, intermodality, and many others. These projects can be framed by research (PIRATE), industrial partnerships (P2I), company start-ups (PRICE), associative projects (PITA) or PIFE.
An internal jury made up of the Director of Training, the heads of courses and those responsible for monitoring 3rd and 4th year projects met on March 11 and selected the six best projects according to the following criteria:
- the innovative nature of the project in terms of sustainable development and the transportation of the future,
- the project's degree of progress, maturity and market potential,
- ability to popularize and communicate
- the quality of the work submitted
